Leadership Development, Female Future Program (FFP)
The Leadership Development Female Future Program (FFP) is an initiative of the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE), in partnership with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), designed to mobilize female talent into leadership positions in top management and boardrooms across Uganda.
Why FFP As organizations compete globally, full utilization of talent — including female talent — has become essential to sustained success. FFP is an exclusive, hands-on program that equips growth-oriented women with the skills, confidence, and networks to take up senior leadership roles and add meaningful value to their organizations.
Program Structure Delivered over nine months with just 15 contact days, complemented by fieldwork, group learning, networking, and research, FFP covers three core modules:
• Leadership Development — self-awareness, goal-setting, personal branding, and feedback
• Rhetoric — public speaking, persuasive communication, and executive presence
• Board Competence — governance, financial literacy, board ethics, and strategic decision-making
Who Should Apply FFP is designed for female CEOs, board members, senior and middle managers, HR leaders, and growth-oriented professionals in private and public sector organizations across Uganda.
Track Record Since 2011, over 400 women have graduated from the program. Of these, 40% have gone on to secure board positions, 54% have moved into higher, more challenging roles, and 30% have launched their own businesses — with the remainder taking on greater responsibility within their current organizations.
Course structure.
• Duration: 9 months (15 contact days, plus fieldwork and networking)
• Location: Protea Hotel, Kampala SKYZ (non-residential)
• Fee: $3,500 or equivalent in Uganda Shillings, inclusive of all training materials, sessions, and membership in the East African Alumnae network
